Kenneth Frampton is an architect and theorist whose writings and teachings have made an impact. In the exhibition Educating Architects: Four Courses by Kenneth Frampton, the CCA brought the archives of this American professor’s work to public attention.

Frampton developed the notion of tectonics in architecture. Contrary to postmodernism, his reading of architecture was essentially material and structural.

In terms of design, we opted for a rational approach, using basic elements of graphic design to build a visual identity. The exhibition grid was drawn on the walls, both to reveal the conceptual process and to highlight its constructed aspect.
