We have designed and developed a bespoke typeface family to give Lambert et Fils a unique voice, both robust and refined. The family comprises 3 weights and their complementary italic versions.
They make all their lighting by hand in their Montreal workshop to preserve the link between design and manufacturer.
Lambert & Fils mandated Principal to review their visual identity and their graphic system. We worked with the company on several aspects of their identity to create a clear and flexible toolbox. Concerned with preserving the achievements and heritage of the brand, we retained certain visual characteristics that we believe are relevant and that allow us to recognize the designer of the lighting.
With this in mind, we reworked the visual signature to make it more elegant and more legible without sacrificing its already well-established recognition. We also developed an expanded color palette to accommodate the many variations of the brand. In addition to having rigorously configured the deployment of the brand, we designed a tailor-made font that allows the company to stand out.
Profiting from the new visual identity, we created a multitude of digital variations, publications and promotions. We also designed the graphic aspects of their new flagship store in New York as well as several local and international campaigns.
