The Power Plant is a renowned Canadian institution located in the heart of Toronto, dedicated to contemporary art. For over 35 years it has been devoted to reflecting on important issues and establishing connections with local and international communities through contemporary art.
Principal was commissioned to design a new digital platform in accordance with the institution’s strategic objectives. Rigorous strategic work was carried out to identify the new opportunities and challenges that The Power Plant faces.
The website design emphasizes typography, layout and the relationship between images and text, offering a seamless and engaging experience in line with what is offered within the gallery. The platform also provides access to an archive of past and current exhibitions, as well as rich and diverse editorial content.

The new website was a perfect opportunity to set new graphic tools and a refreshed brand that accommodates the future positioning of The Power Plant.
We made accessibility a priority. The unfolding side menu is always by your side, whenever you need it.
We added a new section named Learn & Explore, encapsulating The Power Plant’s core purpose as an inclusive community hub for exploring art and ideas.
